Abraham !? Abraham only has one KO at 168 and that was the damaged jermain tylor other than that he has not KOed anyone worth mentioning at 168..surprising no one said james tony who I think in his prime would mop all the current 168 title holders and contenders by KO .. And yes he would have whooped Nigel Benn's ass...
Stanley Ketchel deserves a shout. I believe he belongs in that esteemed company - he was about 5 seconds away from winning the heavyweight crown by some accounts after having dumped the mighty Jack Johnson with a single right cross. The great Micky Walker also had some notable HW wins while being under 168 also... I don't doubt you "D" but I had always thought Tommy Burns was heavier than that... He was quite a good pick because he was actually a HW champ. And didn't Fitz also WIN the heavyweight title by KO while only being a supermiddle? The only two men ever to do so I think.
Agreed i was like what:huh Syd was a solid or decent puncher maybe slightly better than average.. A few guys no one has mentioned that hit harder than alot of the names mentioned are Fully Obelmejias In ChUl Baek Victor Cordoba Chong Pol Park
you got me mixed up man. I don't hate Calzaghe fans. Matter a fact, I've never even gotten in an argument over him. I just think a lot of his fans are funny. chill :thumbsup
Got ya man, guess I just jumped the gun, seemed like you were being sarcastic and pretentious. My bad.
McClellan, followed by Jones, though Toney packed a pop at 168 as well. G-Man obviously only had brief action in the division, but for that short time he looked like he had carried his power up well. Benn wasn't as good a puncher at 168 as he was at 160, but still deserves a mention, vicious banger.
Oh for ****'s sake. Seriously, I'm out of here. This place is a ****ing joke sometimes. :dead:dead:dead
He may have whooped everyone but that doesn't necessarily translate into being the hardest puncher at 168. That was the question not who's the toughest. I still think Abraham is a hard hitter at 168 even if he can't connect.
In fact, I've changed my mind. I now agree with you, Calzaghe is right up there with the best of them in terms of devastating single-shot concussive KO power in his youth, as someone just kindly sent me this concrete video evidence: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACgTJhEdj5M&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
Abrams ?!? hell no !!! who has he koed.. everyone at 168 tournament had shaken off his power beside taylor.. Abraham does not have the some touch at 168.
