Not including Trinidad/De La Hoya or Hearns/Leonard, because there former welterweights that moved up to the middleweight division, so we gotta include all the top guys that were in the middleweight division when Hagler and Hopkins cleaned it out. So here's my take on it and tell me what you guys think.

Bernard Hopkins Top 5 wins in the middleweight division are and this is in no order:

    1)William Joppy
    2)Keith Holmes
    3)Glen Johnson
    4)Antwone Echols
    5)Howard Eastman

Marvin Haglers Top 5 wins in the middleweight division were:

    1)Vito Antoufermo
    2)Alan Minter
    3)Bennie Brisco
    4)Bobby Watts
    5)Willie Monroe

I personally think It's about even and I think Hopkins middleweight resume is very underated.

Hopkins has the most middleweight defenses in history but had he got the Taylor wins, which I think he deserved too get, he still was gonna move up to the lightheavyweight division. So he would of had 21 defenses. He wasn't gonna try and beat Joe Louis record because he pretty much cleaned out the division to the point where there wasn't anyone left.

Hopkins is a throwback fighter like Hagler that could have fought in any era and dominated.

Got to go Hagler , the level of competition back then was so strong and not only was he beating these fighters he was knocking them out.

And for the thread starter to miss out the Tommy Hearns win is just criminal.

Hagler without a doubt. MUCH deeper resume at the weight. Hopkins might be ahead of him overall based on longevity and what he's now accomplished at light heavyweight, but at middleweight alone, Hagler is ahead.

The Thread starter referred to TRUE MIDDLEWEIGHTS. SRL, Hearns, mugabi, DLH, Trinidad and Duran does not count in this particular thread since they moved up in weight.
