Did you even read the thread? Dude, if you dispute what's in the article the man has asked to have that information submitted with your sources. So by all means please state your problem with the article and post your sourced retort, pretty simple idea. You've done nothing of the sort, so please bro, pick out what you take exception to, and post your information.

So what's the valid reason for Mayweather to ask for additional drug test?

Do you think EVERY single post in this thread ois on the article? Heck no. It's the topic and related events people are talking about.

And look, YOU said I am not presenting any facts. So what EXACTLY do you have a problem with me on here? Are you even reading my posts and what I am replying to? :huh

    You forgot this;

FanHouse: Did you officially sign the contract?

Manny Pacquiao: No, because there are still some things that need to be negotiated. That would be premature and foolish. Nobody ever brought us a contract to sign.

    http://www.aolnews.com/2009/12/05/qanda-with-manny-pacquiao-i-want-to-fight-mayweather-very-badly/

This interview was done the same day that Rafael erroneously claimed that Pacquiao had signed his contract. Furthermore, it wasn't until 2 days later that it was revealed that Pacquiao requested a $10M per lb. weight penalty. So clearly he didn't **** before then.

Dude, the timeline says the drug testing was proposed during the negotiation period, which your links back up.

You basically just proved the timeline correct.

Did you read the actual article?

It's not pointless. You said that they could not have promoted the fight for September properly, which is true.

But I said they could have pushed the fight to the end of the year. You said that they had the sept date, as if they HAD to stick to it., while offering no reason why the fight could not be pushed to Nov or Dec.

So I asked if there was some info you had regarding a reason the fight COULD NOT be moved.

You shouldn't have said that. It's obvious that Floyd's objective for asking for drug testing is not about a fair playing field, it's about tarnishing Pac's legacy.

If it was about a fair playing field, he would have accepted the cut-off and the post fight blood test knowing damn well that Pac is not gonna shoot himself up with PEDs for enough time to actually get a benefit from it and also clear the post fight test.

When you guys compare that with asking for a catchweight, you're comparing totally different things.

You really think Floyd is asking for those drug tests is about a fair playing field? comon.

What the hell is Pac gonna be on with a 7 day cutoff and a post fight blood test? The last week is not even heavy training it's basically a cool down period.

Think about it. Level playing field has nothing to do with it.

Asking for a catchweight when you're a JrWW fighting a WW, that's about level playing field.

See the post above. If what Floyd wanted was just a level playing field, the fight would already have happened.

Conte basically saying that the testing Floyd asked for does nothing to ensure a level playing field. That athletes taper off months before the fight and still benefit from the PEDs. He says that the testing Floyd and Mosley underwent doesn't ensure that Floyd and Mosley weren't on PEDs. He says the testing needs to be year round, even when the athletes are not training.

The cutoff right before the fight makes no difference.

Did you even watch the video?

He's basically saying taht the test right before the fight is useless. It's during the long months of inactivity that boxers and athletes are doping the most, and that they taper off when the fight comes near.

He even makes the example of the Floyd and Mosley testing starting only 5-6 weeks before the fight. That Floyd and Mosley could have been using PEDs for months and months and they would still benefit from it on fight night even if they came up clean in the days leading up to the fight.

Floyd asking for the test isn't about tarnishing his legacy. That doesn't make sense.
If Manny agreed right away and accepted the testing, how would that tarnish his legacy. Manny is the only one tarnishing it
