This is pure promotion, nothing more, nothing less. Haye has talked himself into this and I tip my hat to him that he has made the fight as big as it is, that has been the plan and the reason he moved up. I'll be very surprised if Haye gets any success here in terms of the actual fight. I'd like nothing more than Haye to win this and indeed have Wlad crawling around the ring but it is a very unlikely outcome IMO. If Haye comes out with all guns blazing then it could end early and would be suicide because I think Wlad with his size and experience catches him coming in and ends it. A more likely gameplan is that Haye is cautious and will try to outmanouvre his opponent and attempt to evade and time the jab, he'll use patience and will await the moment he has studied for, the moment Wlad makes a mistake or falls into the trap. I can't see that coming. The jab will have landed enough to cause damage and the step up from a Valuev or Harrison will become apparent, he will go into survival mode. A technical knockout caused by damage or a KO is likely. Wlad inside the distance is my bet. Note - If Wlad is true to his word and carries Haye before going for the late stoppage then it opens the door for another money-spinning blockbuster ..... Haye V Vitali/WladII ?
Wlad came across as a muppet in that. I'm not really a fan of Haye and think he gets beat in the fight, but Wlad is the one that got mugged of there. He looked awkward as ****, especially in the long silence around the 7 minute mark. He was trying far too hard to come across intellectually superior and full of wisdom, but he just looked a knob with his ramblings in my opinion. He needed wit and humour for that situation, and he doesn't seem to have any.
We seem to have seen a lot of very polite, tame efforts at winning a world title recently. That seems to be how everyone approaches fighting the Klitschkos too, and they seem to have gotten used to it themselves. As Clive Dunn used to say in Dads Army, 'They don't like it up em!', and neither does Wladimir. The concept of someone coming to win, believing they can win, and telling them they will win seems to upset them. They don't like it up em! David Haye is Clive Dunn.
I can't believe people still try to judge fights based on videos like this. A face off like this is even less telling than the weigh in which also means **** all.
Personally felt at times it was like watching a guy overact especially the silence bit. They did well though and have obviously got fans excited for fight.
Wlad was upset to the point of fury, only an idiot wouldn't be a little apprehensive with an 18 stone guy on the cusp of blowing a gasket just feet away. Hilarious. Klit chose to partake in the back and forth but couldn't take the heat. Admittedly the language barrier doesn't help; but you make your bed....
This was filmed before any of the other promotional stuff, before Haye stopped with all the trash talking.
The more trash gets thrown at Wlad the better, the more he reveals his anger the better...if he is riled there is a better chance he strays from the robotic standard that can win him the fight. If he is riled up he is more likely to do things he wouldnt normally do and leave himself open. IMHO WAR HAYE!!!!!!!
