    I'd give him a chin before work-rate ;)

Maybe, but he throws around 5 punches a round at this weight, perhaps it may be good enough against Wlad, but against Vitali he'd be murdered on the score cards... if he manages to last 12 that is...

He probably won't even fight Vitali win or lose. I don't think he will anyway. I'm more concerned by this fight for now, and he can win this throwing a Valuev level output IMO. Though obviously it does hurt his chances compared to a more reasonable output.

The chin though could wipe him out in a few rounds and makes life very difficult as literally any big error could be game changing.

    Cheers Uzi :good Nice find!

Your right ropes keep him up but very quick to duck and step off away from right hand of Ruiz so i'd say that was good timing from Ruiz and Haye square on hands at sea and lucky not to land on arse. Not hurt though.

I had Ruiz to knock Haye down @ 8/1 as well!!!
Ruiz took some amount of punishment that night, what a warrior.

Agreed Mate. I remember his win on the Valuev Haye undercard and he came out aggressive and we was all shocked.

It's the mark of the man to accept that his style sucked and knew that his last chance he needed to go for it and entertain fans.

    :deal

Alternative 2011 where the Soviet union didn't end
Sam Peter, the new skilled version of George Foreman, ATG.
    won 34 (KO 27) + lost 1

David Haye, the English Tyson, hall of fame legend.
    won 24 (KO 23) + lost 1 (KO 1)

Chris Byrd, the slicker version of floyd patterson, the darling of the USA. ATG
    38-1-0

Eddie Chambers, undefeated. this man who is already in the hall of fame will surely go on to dominate the sport. Nobody looks like they can stop him.
    won 36 -0-0

Tony Thompson, about to fight Chambers in what is this era's Ali vs Foreman, just the one defeat thus far for the Tiger ,which came early in his career while still learning the game. His $100m battle with Chambers promises to be a classic.
    won 36 + lost 1

Calvin Brock, still licking his wounds after his only defeat to Chambers in their $60m super fight.

Kevin Johnson, elusive wizard, no wonder he's unbeaten.

Chris Arreola, unbeaten KO master. Teddy Atlas says this chap could destroy Tyson on Friday night fight night! One to keep an eye on for sure.
    won 32 (KO 2 + 0-0

Juan Carlos Gomez, CW king that has looked unstoppable since moving up to HW.
    44-1-0

    Odlanier Solis 17-0-0

One of the best ever amuters the sport has ever seen having destroyed Savon twice! Just who can stop this kid?

The Klits? Oh you mean the Klitschko's. Those two bums that have been dominating amateur boxing for the last 2 decades. . Let's not forget that the only reason the Klitschko's keep winning olympic gold medal after gold medal is because all the World class Cuban talent Solis, Juan Carlos Gomez, Ortiz and Mike Perez are all defectors. Back in the old days this wouldn't have happened. Solis and Juan Carlos Gomez would certainly crush those Klitschko robots in the pro game.

Foreman and Tyson would crush those amateur Klitschko robots in 1 round. They only really look good in the amateurs because of the headgear really. Can you imagine what would happen to Vitali if he were to turn pro and take on KO master Arreola? He would be knocked the **** out! I'm telling you the guy has a glass jaw.

Exactly, the only way we can really rank the Klitschko's amongst world class pro's that are in the sport now is to compare how either brother did against their toughest ever opponent, which of course was the USA's very own Laurence Clay-Bey during the early rounds of the 96 olympics.

As you can see the young Klitschko only just won this one by the skin of his teeth, IMAGINE WHAT SEASONED UNDEFEATED PRO'S LIKE CHAMBERS AND SOLIS WOULD DO TO HIM! There is a reason why these slick warriors have never lost a fight. Either of those robot chumps would get their ears boxed of here.

Nevermind the slicksters, how exactly are two amatuer clowns that hide behind their headgear just like they hide behind the iron curtain going to deal with the ATG 'super' HW that have come through in this era like Rahman and Briggs?

Rahman and Briggs as well as being known as ATG legend destroyers are also part of the new breed of heavyweight. These two are more than likely the strongest boxers of all time. Look at the muscles on them!
These two KO any headgear wearing Klitschko chump with ease in the first round.

Hi guys, I never post in here, but anyway, hi!

I'm in Germany right now, Berlin. Staying with a mate, we're going to the fight too :good Anyway, I'm a bit worried the casual British fans think we are going to have some epic battle. From what I've been hearing from a lot of people (online and irl) are expecting some sort of epic battle.

Yeah right, I think most of us here know that is probably not how it will go.

I predict a mid rounds stoppage by Wlad and really don't see Haye getting close to Wlad's chin.

The German fans know what to expect from Wlad, unfortunately most of the casual Brits think this is going to be toe to toe.

What do you guys think? What have you heard from your mates who arnt like us crazy boxing fanatics?

Awww did it annoy you bambam?

As Jack said bringing up Mock in 03...Barrett when Haye was square and off balance.

The Pannell knockdown was posted for a reason relating back to a detailed post of mine breaking down why i feel Haye wins in this thread. I believe Wlad is still vulnerable to this shot and Haye throws it to perfection.

In saying all that you got blinkers on pal and ain't worth a debating with. Your as bad as both men's chins at it in this thread.

I don't think its going to be an epic battle at all...what it boils down to is basically who lands big first. Unless Wlad has morphed overnight and become Sweet Pea then he is eminently hittable...if Haye lands big Wlad will end up in row E, that works the other way too BTW. The only thi ng that I'm concerned about is Hayes footwork, its not the best, and his ability to get inside Wlads jab, but I'm reasonably confident that he'll find a way.
