i like both fighters...but if you think you can understand 90% of what joe says, your a liar...any recent shows always have sub text scrolling accross the screen so you know what hes saying
Deservedly so.Gladiators.Talent and heart. The amount of damage they did to each other is astonishing!!Heavyweight boxing will NEVER be like that again!
Great read and was a amazing fight such a great match-up a ATG boxer with speed, and iron chin, high ring iq and great technique, against a ATG swarmer with great head and upper body movement, amazing stamina, and a legendary left hook. Frazier get's underrated here on esb but you cant take away the fact he won the fight of the century when they were both unbeaten.
Correct. Frazier whipped Ali and put him on his ass in the most important fight of all-time, when both men were nearest their respective peaks, on a night where it was clear to both men that this would be the most important moment of their careers. No amount of spin and excuse making by Ali and his camp can alter that fact. Frazier lost his edge after that night and should have taken his manager's advice to retire.
I thought that was there second fight? I may be mistaken I remember Ali used the hospital time to infuriate Frazier before the the third fight. Anyhow just trying to know the specifics history is a very interesting thing.
The version of Joe Frazier that beat Ali that night in New York would whup any version of Ali. Even Cassius Clay.
