    Hernan Marquez-Luis Concepion.

**** me this was a great fight. FOTY for me and would be shocked if I see anything better this year. Bit of a bull**** stoppage at the end but **** it I would to see these fallas go at it again.

    Floyd Mayweather vs Shane Mosley

You know, if nothing else, this fight did highlight an awful lot of the illegal infringements Floyd makes in fights. For instance, that high-elbowed guard is all well and good, and is good at narrowing angles completely, but when he shoves it directly into Shane's throat and face, it's not allowed.

Bayless is a great referee, but he did miss a good bit of that kind of stuff throughout. He did a lot of head-pulling if Mosley managed to get under a shot. If Shane ducked successfully, Mayweather would pull him in from behind the head, and if the opportunity arose, he'd crack him with a right hand. The forearm to the face thing he does is something I think we all know about as well. Mosley was so pedestrian in that respect, he fell for it every time. Mayweather would push his left forearm to Shane's face, and he'd automatically drop his hands and just leave himself wide open.

He does that discreet body-punching too, where he grinds his head against his opponents. As soon as he enabled Mosley to get inside, he'd put his head right into Shane's chin, grind against it, and then sneak in a few sneaky uppercuts, the majority of which were thrown on Kenny's blindside. None of it is legal, but it's effective, and he's perfected it to such an extent that even when it's completely obvious what he's doing he makes it look like such a natural occurance.

Finished watching Zbik vs Chávez Jr. 115-113 to Chávez Jr.

Good fight, Julio's defence was a bit crap. I thought that both did enough to win and obviously Zbik would have won in Germany. Good body shots from Julio and Zbik's work-rate was impressive. They should do a rematch. I'm thinking of a close/controverisal fight from 2009-2010, I was thinking of something like Kotelnik vs Maidana or Alexander vs Kotelnik. I'll probably watch Froch vs Kessler next week. I want to find a video of De La Hoya vs Trinidad but there are no full fight highlights at all. :(

    EDIT: I FOUND ONE!

EDIT: FFS, some selfish dick only uploaded the first six rounds. I found Round 9 somewhere else and I gave Trinidad the last three by default, but I need Rounds 6 and 7.

Holyfield is one of the very few fighters that i would risk my life for. I get emotional just thinking about some of his fights. That Qawi first fight is an underrated classic. Qawi was an underrated dawg who always came to fight and what Holyfield did for a young man was truly immense. Evander always behaved like a fighter.

Qawi was amazing, over matched physically but never stopped bringing the fight staright to Holyfields chest. My favourite part was wehn Holy comes on with a few punches and looks like he's making some headway, then he throws about 10 punches and Qawi, only by an inch or so, ducks every one of them, then smiles at him.

Watched all four Rafael Marquez vs. Israel Vazquez fights last night - loved every second of it. Juan Manuel Marquez is one of my favourite fighters, but I'd only seen one or two of Rafael's fights, and think I'll be watching some more soon.

Had Marquez 67-66 ahead after 7 rounds in the first fight, but felt Vazquez was beginning to gain some momentum in the previous rounds - wasn't that surprised he had to retire given how badly broken his nose looked at the end.

Had Marquez 49-46 ahead at the end of the 5th in the second fight, and felt Jose Garcia stopped the fight a little bit early. Having said that, if he hadn't stopped it when he did I could see Marquez getting KO'd during that round - hard to argue too much when he clearly had the fighter's best interests at heart.

The third fight was my favourite of the bunch, and I scored it 114-112 for Vazquez. Was pleased that Pat Russell gave Marquez a standing eight count in the 12th, as another ref may have stopped the fight. Had Marquez winning both rounds in the 4th, and combining Vazquez's cuts with the punishment Marquez was dishing out I agree with the stoppage.

I have to say though, I hope that was Vazquez's last fight. Freddie Roach felt he was beginning to slur his words after the first fight, and the surgeries he's had over the years were definitely noticeable going into the fourth.

I've been watching a ton of Wlad footage lately. Conclusion? I'm giving Dave more of a chance.
