Indeed, George could never see it coming, so the potency was increased.

Jersey Joe Walcott and Ezzard Charles could have beaten Jack Dempsey.

    I'll buy that. :good

In fact i'll go one step further & say i would favour Charles who fought Marciano twice & the Walcott who lost his title to Marciano to beat Dempsey, despite their age.

Antonio Cervantes, around the time of his defeat of Esteban DeJesus, would've beaten Roberto Duran.

George Foreman would be nothing more than a regional clubfighter today.

Yeah...and he would lift George up like a puppy with one hand and beat on him with the other..then just toss him across the ring.....:-(

    You know what i meant.

Ali was out-muscling the supposedly stronger George in every clinch in Zaire.

Precisely. In this kind of thread, there are some that are tempted to say anything to provoke a reaction. Weaver was a good fighter, but hardly on the level of the 70's finest, such as Ali,Foreman,Frazier,Norton and Young.

And Marvin Johnson beating John Conteh? That's just ridiculous.

I second that,Red. Johnson was capable enough but was n't in the same league as prime Conteh.
