He actually has KO power. But he chooses not to sit on his punches and prefer to outbox his opponents, like Ali and Leonard did. + he fights about 20 pounds above his natural weight
Best answer so far. His resume at 140/147 is shameful for a so called "ATG". He's very good, nothing more.
Then he would of probably gotten knocked out by now because he would not fight the same style. He'd basically be a mini Mike Tyson (good speed, good movement, good power), and it's funny cuz he has the same life style of Mike tyson when Mike was boxing. So, basically just see Mike Tyson's career for what would happen to Floyd. In the ring, and as you can see outside of the ring LOL
Skill set wise, he would be seriously considered in the ATG #1 debate. The man has speed, technique, and defense like few who have ever entered the ring. If he carried one hit KO power that would be a complete skillset. How that would have affected his career is debatable. Would he have stepped in with Cotto, Margarito, Pac, etc... or not? Who is to say?
Could his hands really take the punishment dealt out if he had one punch KO power? Prince Naseem Hamed struggled with hand problems because of the power he used to punch with. But this only came out after he retired. Mayweather's hand problems are very well known, and having one punch KO power...it probably would have been more of a negative than a positive, and he probably wouldn't have been as good all round as he is now. And there's always the chance of falling in love with your power.
