Here is the timeline which shows why Floyd does not want to fight Pacquiao.

Floyd only fights older Welters (over 37 yrs. old) or A fighter with 1 or less career victory as a Welterweight

Last 5 years Floyd as a Welterweight

    2011 - Ortiz (wins @ 147 = Berto)
    2010 - Mosley (39 yeats old)
    2009 - JMM (0-1 as a Welter)
    2008 - Hatton (1-2 as a Welter wins = Castillo)
    2007 - No Welterweight Bouts

    I am talking about five years 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

Just a very suspect body of work at Welter. In the future people will question why he never faced 2 of the following - Clottey, Cotto, Margarito, Pacquiao being he fought as a Welterweight from 2006-2011.

Unfortunately for Floyd this is what people are gonna see in retrospect. History is not gonna be kind to this guy. He's gonna be known for the fighters he avoided. And if he doesn't fight Pac, he's gonna be best know as the guy who avoided Pac :deal

After being so busy with work the last few days, I was finally able to get home earlier than usual and finally read this article. I followed the negotiations pretty well and this article did a great job of actually compiling all the news of the negotiations as they happened.

My only complaint (unless I missed reading something), is that the article skipped some details of why Pac is suing Mayweather in the first place. The article gives you the impression that Pac filed a lawsuit againt Floyd and Golden Boy just because a more stringent drug test was asked of him. It leaves out many of the comments made (mostly from Sr.) as well as Richard Schaefer's comment to Filipino sportswqriter Ronnie Nathanielsz that Pac was on PEDs while Ronnie was visiting the Golden Boy offices after the Hatton fight in May 2009.

As far as the accuracy of the articles, I would say it is as how I remembered it as well.

Seems like many of the overexcited *****s and over defensive *******s on this thread either forgot, or did not follow the negotiation timeline as it happened as their actions here suggest.

After the first round of negotiations were done (where this article left off), it was actually Pac and his team that looked bad for their inconsistent answers and unwillingness to shorten cutoff dates. It was only during the second negotiations when Floyd went on vacation that Floyd became the ducker.

I can't wait to see Part II of this article and if the writer will be as thorough with the timeline. I predict the *******s will rub it in the *****s faces in Part II as the *****s rubbed it in their faces during Part I.

    Just too predictable.

See that's the problem with the article why stop on the first part. On the other hand he would make Floyd look like an idiot if he's going to do the "Part II". "Part II" never took place according to Floyd.

Part I was carefully crafted anyway so I never took it seriously. Who would? :hey

Why did the two got caught and Pac wasn't?:huh
Why didn't Roach gave those two the same steroid as Pac was getting?
Or maybe Roach was never part of it.
