I've been a member of ESB for a long time now, but I have never seen so many threads about one boxer since I joined.

You may hate Haye and I can understand why. He's disrespectful, abnoxious and rude (Wow, for once I'm not writing the word "Mayweather" after those 3 words)

No matter what happens on July 2nd, you all owe Haye a debt of gratitude

Haye has breathed life into a division which has been in decline for years

He hasn't done it with his fists to be honest; Barrett, Valuev and Harrison are not really huge names who have presented him with a challenge, but the way he speaks and his very unflattering comments about the Klitchkos has got EVERYONE talking. Especially all you Haye haters who are making thread after thread about how Haye will have a pizza face.

Odds are that he will have a pizza face after this fight, but he is a live opponent who can punch.

    Here is my biggest question.......

I understand the hate for the way he has behaved and the t-shirt, but how can you hate a man whose personality and antics have created the biggest heavyweight fight since Lewis v Tyson?

Is there another opponent more worthy than Haye at this particular moment in time?

Have his antics got you excited for July 2nd?

If he was considerate and polite to Wladamir, do you really think the buzz surrounding this fight would be half this big?

Are you really sure Haye has no chance?

Do you really think Adam Booth doesn't have a good game plan up his sleeve? He proved in DeGale v Groves that he is a great strategist.

are welcomed. No David Gaye quotes or Pizza face expressions for once! :p

Excited? I was, two and a half years ago. Now not so much anymore. Excitement only lasts for so long. I am quite sure the fight will disappoint and will end up being nowhere close to living up to the hype.

Also disappointed at how little mainstream interest this fight has been generating.

To be honest at this point I am more interested in Vitali vs. Adamek (which has every potential to turn into a war and slug fest) rather than a chess match between two weak-chinned and hesitant HW strategists like Wlad vs. Haye.

A yes or no would have done

I'm quite sure the answer is no

    Haye v Wlad - 24 threads
    Vitali v Adameck - 1 thread

hope he does'nt run for 12

Really? Well fair enoigh you're entitiled to your opinion. You say you're not excited but I've seen you reply to loads of Haye v Klitchko threads in the past week so how can you say that?

If Mayweather v Pac got it on, it would be 2 years ago that it first got brought up and I think think there would be an even bigger buzz about it because it has been built up with a story of PED's, cherry picking and law suits surrounding the fight

there has been 1 Vitali v adameck thread and 24 Wlad v Haye threads, I think that shows which one is more popular

I guarantee the PPV sales for Haye v Wlad will smash Vitali v Adameck - thanks to Hayes antics

Fair pont, but also read the original thread and expand your answer.

Floyd v Manny will always be the number 1 talking point

Again, a loud mouth, brash, arrogant black fighter showing no respect for his opponent.

PPV sales will be huge, better than a Mosley v Pac fight with so much arse licking and touching of gloves and no needle between them they might as well of hugged after every round

I agree with most of your comments and I like it you're a guy who also sees through the Haye hype.

For me it's entirely about "finally putting this guy and his deluded fans away!".
I like boxing, and most of the hype around haye isn't really about boxing anymore. It's starting to look like WWE or something "look how exciting Haye is... certainly not in, but outside the ring!"
I really, really want another exciting force to enter the heavies and make it the divison it's supposed to be. And I don't care from wich country he is, what color or if he does or doesn't woship the mighty Zeus.
I want a heavy that's not exciting outside but inside the ring. Who actually does what he says he's going to do. And isn't like "look what he did in only xx fights", but "man that guy actually fights 5 times a year, and against live opponents too!"

I just want Haye out of the way, so the division can move on.
And there are plenty guys out there who might be the real deal, and actually are exciting in the ring.
Maybe Perez, Boystoy or the big Helenius... Who knows?

Everyone I know is excited about this fight, but not because we expect a good fight. Quite the opposite.

We just want to see Haye get the humiliating beat-down he deserves. And then go away forever.

So yeah, he generated a lot of interest in the fight, got his big payday, and will be able to retire a rich man. Good for the sport? Not at all.

I personally don't think they can hold a candle to either Klitchko or Haye.

I think the division is in all aorts of s**t after they retire.

I'll keep my fingers crossed. I know about Fury, Chisora and david Price from the UK but they don't fill me with much hope.

Lets hope for a good fight anyway, both hit hard and both are capable of taking the other one out with 1 punch, so I predict a cautious affair without too much action which Wlad shaves with the fight being in Germany

Im virtually pissing my self with excitement! People take Haye to seriously just need to chill out and laugh about it! But your 100% rite he has increase interest in what was nearly a dead division! The biggest problem is if Haye destroys Wlad were running out of top tier fighters. Cant see any the the British tallent being ready for any title shot for at least 2 years if they want to be successful!
