Who doesnt get the credit they deserve.

Some of the murderers row boxers imo (although granted they are acclaimed by the hardcore) such as Lloyd Marshall, Hollman Williams and Cocoa Kid.

Jimmy Bivins to an extent is also left out a lot.

far, far too many to mention, because most have been forgotten to the passing of time and therefore marginalized, IF they're ever even brought up at all.

Boxing has literally Hundreds of Greats.

example, I have always been curious about Fred Lenhart and Vic Dellicutrie (spelling) who were promanent TOP Contenders during the Golden Age late 1930s & 40s... and nobody ever mentions them.

they were defo great fighters given the period,
and on the big scale of things probably near greats yet totally unknown - so there are literally hundreds!!!

Glen Johnson - here in the classic he is called a journeyman . In the general he does gets his dues , but in historical standpoint he is underrated.

How is Holmes overrated? Larry was Ring champion for 5 years, WBC champion for 5 years, IBF champion for 2 years, & at the age of 45 he out-boxed WBC champion McCall who was coming off a sensational upset victory over Lewis, but sadly was not given the decision he earned.

You are the first whom I encountered who thought Holmes should have had the decision.

Larry failed to impress even vs old Norton and Shavers , thumbed Shavers in their second fight ehich gained him the TKO and maybe saved him from getting stopped himself. Fought nobodies and low level fringe contenders.
Never wanted to even try to avenge his amateur losses to Duane Bobick and Nick Wells .
Lost his title to an almost disabled lightheavy.
    Avoided his biggest risks.
Got gift decisions from Don King.
    Fought like crap.
