Marciano does what the top heavyweights of the day should have done, and batters old Foreman into retirement.

I'm sure this has been done before, andit was a good discussion.

I'll still take Marciano to come out with the W, even if he looks like he got hit by a truck at the end of it.

If he got hit by a truck, he would most probably be lying unconscious which would what he would be once Foreman flattens him.

So why didn't he flatten any world class heavyweights apart from Moorer?

I'll give Marciano this one, but I want him crippled after the fight.
After giving him the Quarry fight as well, it's the least he can do.
I'll even accept a thank you for handing him this gift that he hardly deserves.

I don't think too highly of Foreman in his comeback, but he did pretty much destroy smallish heavies in Cooper, Qawi, and Rodrigues (who I think was top ten the year before).

Prime Foreman vs Prime Marciano, that is the question! (Or should be.)

    Rodrigues was nowhere near "smallish".

6'1, 219. A lot of current cruiserweights are about that size.

It's always amusing when people state an isolated premise without the entailment it's supposed to lead to. 220 pounds is not, has never been, and will never be "smallish". Most of the current heavyweights over 240 are carrying at least twenty pounds of fat.

I find your isolated premise amusing.
