    :yikes:admin:shock:
Alexander Povetkin’s promoter Vladimir Hryunov has won the purse bids for the highly anticipated clash with his Russian fighter and heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko with a mind boggling $23.2 million dollar winning bid. The astonishing figure finally sees a concrete move for the massive fight which has been on and off for the best part of 2 years. The undefeated Povetkin (25(17)-0) holds the ‘regular’ title with the WBA, with the organisation naming the unified ruler Klitschko (59(50)-3) as their ‘super’ champion. The champions K2 promotions also bid a huge $7.1 million as well as German promotional heavyweights Sauerland with a modest $6 million. Klitschko will be receiving a very, very healthy 75% of the purse compared to the challengers 25%.
this is the highest i have ever heard of

Not even close; Tyson regularly picked up $30 Million pay days just for himself, 15+ years ago.

With inflation that means Tyson would be taking home $46 Million...

but thats not the purse, thats his payday.

the purse amount may be lower than the final payday but if its not his promotion he may not see any more, dunno

The very thought of Wlad making that much money for fighting someone like Povetkin makes me want to throw myself down a large flight of stairs.

Wladimir Klitschko would get $17,400,000 for beating an overrated fat man with a paper title. Povetkin wouldn't last 8 rounds with a motivated Wladimir. It would be the biggest payday of his career by a large margin and wouldn't even be one of his hardest fights. A ****-easy job and get paid a fortune, you'd expect him to be buzzing.

Yet Bernd Boente says Wladimir, even with the gigantic purse, is "not overly excited" about the fight and it still has little interest to him. ****ing hell, what is wrong with the man?

You thought Haye-Klitschko was bad? You aint seen nothing yet.

That division is the biggest load of dog crap I've ever seen in this sport, and I mean ever.

I'll be glad when those pair of Klits pack up for good. The division will be like an open rat race where anybody's got a chance.

It should make for some funny fights and funnier build ups. I'm sick of this Klit ****!!!
