He's not a manufactured fighter or champion. He's a guy who went up in weight from jmw to MW, and won the lineal MW title and ducked his mandatory at MW after he said that he would fight him. He has trouble with boxers but who doesn't, and so what his audience came from Texas or Mexico. It's his audience.

 

Just watched it. Sure Canelo looked really good, but it was a farce. Beefy has tons of heart, but was not really ever in it. A sparring session. Glad I didn't buy.

 

Still more than anything GGG dreams of making fighting the bums he regularly pursues.

The persona that we see is not the real Canelo. It is a version of what Oscar wants the people to see and I think that is has hurt the man's career. Canelo is a warrior and he needs to be turned loose because that's when he shines. I don't think that losing would affect him or his popularity because it is the warrior in him that brings people to his fights. Since Oscar has took control, he has been picking soft targets and pulling strings, thereby making Canelo other than what he is. He has manufactured a different animal.

Look, I want to see GG Canelo too, but Dlh's is just doing his job. He got him a money fight and a title. It's up to Canelo to speak up and make the GG fight. Using the word "manufactured" and Canelo is not it when you take a look at his resume.

whats so funny is that it was ever on pay per view,there's too many shameful duckers using business as an excuse rather than fighting their mandatories,Santa Cruz and Frampton with Rigondeux both used that excuse and Canelo with Golovkin,thing is look where it's it's got him,he's become a laughing stock,I'll be amazed if this fight gets made next year truly I would.
