All 3 challenged Ali for the heavyweight title - after having lost their last fight. Alfredo Evangelista is the only other boxer, who challenged Ali coming off a loss... so our 3 men are "almost" the only ones who share this.
I had to hold back on Alfredo, as that would have been too easy. But Muhammad Ali, I think, is the only world champion in history to fight 4 fighters who had a loss in their previous fight, while challenging for a world title.
