    Looked it up it is Mace who was then 78 the photo was taken at a benefit tournament at The Arena in Villiers street near Charing Cross London.Fitz made a horseshoe on stage which was auctioned for £25 and won by Sir Claude De Crepigny, who I'm guessing is the other man in the photo.The photo was taken on May 26th 1909.

    Looks like he had a spare baseball bat in his trousers!
    Its kinda shocking how the oldtimers [and everyone else then ,]aged so compared to today.John L was only 59 when he died, just shows what being a serial ****-head will do to you.

    Yes he was known to wear tights with the calves padded.

    Nothing shabby about his top half though.
