I don't really have one tbh. I guess LL, i like Ricky Hatton too although his career dissapoints me. I like Munroe, have been too watch him a few times. Kevin Mitchell too is probably my fave atm.
Joe Calzaghe. Followed his career from the start. Love his attitude, his fighting style, he can box or go into the trenches when need be and he's overcome career threatening hand injuries to get where he's at which a lot of people forget. Keeps himself to himself and some people have a go because he's boring but it's a good quality to have when you're that famous but don't see the need to put yourself in the limelight all the time and put on an act in front of the cameras unlike some other fighters I could mention.
Fair enough, honestly I'm undecided about Calzaghe personality wise, I get the feeling he may be a big of an arrogant twat, but I may be wrong. Did you see the Calzaghe vs. Thornberry fight on Nuts TV last night?
Yes in all likelihood, but I can't see into his mind to determine whether he's likely to fight on one fight too many. He seems to have his head switched on about this.
Lennox Lewis. I loved the way he got under the skin of the American critics. (The thrashing of Michael Grant is one of my all time favourite boxing moments)
No missed it mate I was watching the show about him on Setanta. If I remember rightly it was one of his below par performances though. He had 3 or 4 of them in succession after Eubank.
How many is 1 too many do you think? I'm kind of hoping for a good domestic against Froch before Joe calls it a day.
nigel benn. all action, hard hitting,but a little vunerable too,made every fight so exciting. he was genuinely passionate too, let people get right under his skin and then had the tear up he promised. awesome fighter....
It was quite entertaining, this Thornberry charecter had a massive heart, everyone thought he was going to get blasted in the first round, including him (he put his hands up at the bell at the end of the first - as if to celebrate) but he went to the distance, honestly Joe nearly had him early on and then just got lazy, he wasn't really trying, Frank Warren was screaming at Joe to knock the dude out, it was an odd fight.
