nigel benn for the excitement, his vulnerabilities as a man and a fighter, the mclellan fight, his bravery, the fact that he didnt give a **** where or who he fought, the one liners, the power in both fists , everything about him. i could go on but it'll sound a bit gay. my favorite fighter of all time .

Yeah and that occasion he was a total idiot dickhead who ****ed up and made a huge mistake. I've never made one that big, but I've made plenty myself and been a dick head on occasion also. Can't judge a man's entire life and personality based on one incident though.

well he tried to do himself in. after the watson and eubank defeats he sank into depression but came back. and he was apparently a bit of a ****.

not saying he was best ever or anything...but my favourite...
    micheal watson..

he had bags of courage..a great style to watch...
it was a great thinking performance to outfox nigel benn when they fought...
and although totally outclassed by mike mccallum he showed so much courage and kept finding reserves through the fight when you thought he was gone...
and the eubank fights speak for themselves...

good post, watson was a special fighter. they have the last round of that mcallum fight on youtube. i watched it as a kid and all i can remember is being heartbroken cos watson got ****ed up. but watching that clip he is still goading mcallum in in the last round, still landing shots and you can tell he has mcallums full respect. he only went down when he was physically exhausted. for some reason as well when he's lying on the deck something doesnt seem quite right, maybe a warning of what was to happen ?
