Now lets be honest. the Lacy that had just finished blasting out scott pemberton the one that had not been totally demolished by Calzaghe yet. he was at the peak of his Hype and had prety much smashed his way to a record of 21-0 17kos and was an imposing fighter that was being touted as the tyson of the 168 lb division.

Now lets take the AA from the right after the taylor fight . had just finished moving up to 168 with a highlight reel Ko that left Taylor with his legs streched. witha record of 31-0 26kos he became a co favorite to win the Super Six.

this has these making to be an explosive encounter. so who would you have picked if this fight would have happened under these circumstances?

got to say i would of went this AA after that ko. and due to the fact that lacy defense wasn't that great but i would of only picked aa by a paper thin margin

Lacy by 8tko. He was very good before the Calzaghe. Joe really ruined him

yeah that why i only pick AA by a paper thin margin. he still had the left hook and the confidence and was trying to take your head off

ok just ot make sure were taking LAcy before the Cal loss . many people including the British press felt he was unstoppable. suprised to se a one sided poll

Would have been very close imo. Lacy could take a big punch as well as throw one (before his shoulder op). He also had a decent work rate. That spells trouble for Abraham.

got to say thats why i only picked AA by a thin margin as he seems to have a better chin

    Abraham.

I think it's such a lopsided poll because even though your talking about a pre-Calzaghe ruining, the Calzaghe fight not only ruined Lacy but brought his flaws to the forefront. Lacy is/was horrible defensively and it never reared it's head until he faced elite competition...and when he did...did it ever rear it's ugly head. That's why I have to give it to Abraham.

Lacy wins he is bigger, stronder and faster. Has a mean punch of his own and would outwork AA for the wholr fight and when AA finally pressed he would finf Lacy's chin not budging. Lacy had a great chin and heart. 1000 punches from Calzaghe, a big supermiddle, couldn't stop him. This is a very bad matchup for AA. Lacy wins 10/10 and maybe can even still beat him now??

Saying Lacy would win back then is one thing...

Saying he'd win now is a completely different story...

AA's workrate CANNOT win rounds outside of Germany. Lacy's was superb and so was his chin. I think folks are thinking of shot Lacy and ignoring AA's OBVIOUS problems.
