How is able to generate so much power when it seems that he rarely sits on his punches? His feet seem like they are always doing something awkward and non-fundamental, yet he's able to generate enough leverage to drop dudes. When I break down his technique, it appears that he does many things that you are not supposed to do. Any thoughts?

    Steroids!

Seriously though, it's a solid question. Hard to tell just from looking at him IMO. Possibly from his hips in some way?

I think he frequently does moves/throws punches where he pivots/rotates into the punch but lifts his feet off the ground to move off of the pivot as he throws, just like RJJ or Floyd do a leaping left hook. It seems it has power behind it because the pivoting is combined with a lifting off the ground, so the power translates into the execution. They can't be arm punches.

He's a natural puncher who is able to put insane speed and stability on a punch even if he is throwing it technically incorrect. Foreman ko'd Moorer with what looked like a tap. Pac dropped JMM with a punch that barely connected. Natural punchers.

It's not different to Ali taking punches with poor balance and chin up but not getting ko'd.

Pac's improved his mechanics alot though.

    Oral Stability is the answer.

Speed takes the place of power. Punches you don't see hurt as much if not more than perfectly executed ones.

Balance and Neuromuscular response, comes from the Oral cavity[ The Head] above the Kneck. Any movement of the Head more than !5%, you are of Balance. If dropped forward more than 15%, everything is lost by up to 50%. As regards Boxing, put your chin down more than 15% your Dyafram output is reduced by up to 50%, which reduces Oxygen intake. What works the eyes and most things is Oxygen, Oxygen is the primary source of fuel for the eyes, got to take the wife to the shop :patsch

So,with the chin down other things happen. Your or most of your upper body has already got a neuromuscular response shoulders, back psosas groin because it works in conjunction with the lower back, so restricts movement of the lower half, the legs motor skills are restricted. Plus the oral cavity isnt balanced with your big toes. The Body works all or nothing, Orchestrated by that thing between the ears :good

  15. Pacman is a freak, the result of fanatical discipline in training since he was a boy.
