Thoughts on this? Mine are that Paul may of just caught Arthur at the right time in his career, realistically it's Paul's only ever shot & I don't know why but I see Smith taking it home. From someone who sparred both fighter's his belief is Paul should win, I know that doesn't mean anything but surely the fella in question is more qualified than most to comment.

Would love for him to win. The question is, if the rounds are close is he really going to get the benefit even if he does edge them?

Can he put on a good enough performance to take the rounds well enough.

i think it will be a hard fought fight for paul but you may be right in the sense he's caught abraham in the right time in hes career. and you never know with sparring. in my opinion i box aswel and when some spar they are operate really wel but on fight night its totally different.. i wouldln't say sparring means nothing but i would defninitely say people go too much on sparring. wil be a good fight nonetheless, i predict paul to win.

Luke Blackledge - when asked he said 'provided Paul doesn't get robbed he should win'

I know it's not as clean cut as that, first & foremost there's nothing to suggest Smigga won't get put away, but I've just a sneak feeling it's the right fight at the right time etc.

Yeh I understand what your saying about the saprring etc, and know how sparring is no real gauge - but a few things will pretty much always remain a constant, regardless of sparring / fight night - eg punch resistance & the little things you notice around camp. That said sparring is essentially training & can not be judged to seriously....I just feel the timings are right for Smith.

I allways want British fighters to do well abroad but think AA ko Smith within 6 rounds. Hope I am proved wrong and Smith does the business.

As much as I'll be backing Smith to win and hoping he pulls it off, AA is too heavy handed for him.

Hoping smith does it but personally think Abraham wins this by stoppage.

Assuming there is not a robbery on the scorecards, I think Smith has enough nouse and athleticism about him to outbox and outwork Abraham. Abraham is slow and predictable. Froch laid out the blueprint for beating him.

Heart says Smith on points. Head says Abraham stoppage.

I'm going with my heart. Smith on points.

The Real Gone Kid will be world champion on Saturday night.

Smith is about as half as good as Froch.. and Froch was 10 times better than Abraham.

    My logic anyway.

AA isn't the same fighter he was down at MW & hasn't looked great in his last couple of fights so in that respect, Smith couldn't be getting him at a better time.

He is still a banger though, the power might not be what it was down at 160, but he can punch!

Smith was in a tear up with Dodson and no disrespect here to Dodson, but if Smith goes down a similar road with AA then he's getting put away.

I'm really hoping he pulls it off though, will be backing him all the way tomorrow night. Smith can punch himself, not that I think he can stop AA, but he needs to put spite in his shots & MUST box smart.
