How do you read this one? I think it will be a closer fight than Dirrell v Froch, but am still undecided on a winner....

I think it depends on Taylor's engine - he starts fights off like a dream than runs out of gas at the vital moment. AA's style is perfect for this as he seems to wear a high guard for the first 3 rounds whilst the oppenent blows off steam then starts unloading - gonna be a good 'un :bbb

me,i think abraham is highly overrated,v strong and tough, but a plodder, ive seen him twice, and both times he was extremely boring,
in fact just like his pad work on that open training video, slow and ponderous.

i think taylor will run rings around him, then possibly run out of steam and get stopped, ala froch, hope not i like taylor a lot better than abraham

You think the step up in weight will be to AA's benefit. I am not sure, was he struggling to make middleweight? It adds another question mark? Will he be strong enough or have the same power to bowl over a super middle?

They both started at middleweight and AA was struggling to make 160. I don't believe there was weight issues for JT at 160 the feeling was he'd be a more stronger and more rounded fighter at 168. I like Taylor but when Abraham is on it he's great to watch. I really can't wait for this one. I like the fact that JT is doing this in Berlin. AA hasn't fought anyone in the calibre of Taylor.

Taylor and his team have worked on all the negatives during their training camp. I think JT can do this and possibly, POSSIBLY, stop Abraham. Should be a good un' though.

@bodysnatcher - maybe he will take his power with him at SM, I am planning to watch more of his fights this week to get a good look at him I have only saw AA a couple of times.

@theuppercut - Taylor has got some quality scalps on his cv, the stamina issue is a big question mark, if he has overcome that, i think he can take this on points. I wanted to watch more AA before I make a final call. But, I think this fight has the look of a very tough and even fight, brilliant start to Saturday night.

50/50 fight in my opinion. Abraham hasn't looked his best at middleweight but the move up could do him wonders. Taylor might have sorted out his stamina problems but Froch and Pavlik didn't really work the body as much as i think Abraham will try to in this fight.

Taylor should win the early rounds while AA soaks up the punches behind a tight gaurd, throwing out a few precise power punches to body and if its there the head. He could wear Jermaine down and as bodysnatchers says soon as Taylors defence slips there is going to be more precise combinations coming his way.

Although, Abraham hasn't been in with someone with a jab like Taylor's and is going to have to improve greatly from his last 2 or 3 fights.

    Key factors for me:

JT: Is his stamina as good as he is saying it is, is his body ready for some heavy blows. Is he going to stick to the jab.

Abraham: Is he going to improve his work rate at super middle, can he get past an educated jab.

Very interesting fight and really hard to call. I like both.

Abraham desperately needed the move up but when you see photo's of him and the others, geez. But then as my girlfriend says - size isnt everything!

Taylor has to redeem himself, he's still got a chance to go down as something special but has to deliver now. He's frustrating to watch, he often just completely ignores his trainer and theres always rumours of a few to many parties, even during training. He's very talented though but you always get the feeling he just isnt desperate for it like Froch for example.

Taylor on points. Abraham starts off worse than Froch did against Taylor in every fight :good

Might even go as far as saying he'll stop Abraham before the 6th :good

I just can't see how Taylor hurts Abraham or lands enough to win the rounds. There's going to be alot of rounds where your wondering how much Taylor actually landed despite his eye-catching output

Taylor likes to throw the one-two most of the time but to beat Abraham you need be hitting him with three or four punch combo's to penetrate his defence. I can't see Taylor doing that because of worries about his stamina.

Ultimately, and as uninspiring as Abraham appears at times, I see him as the more versatile and smarter fighter with the better chin, and I think this will tell when the pace inevitably drops.

Another head-scratching night for Jermaine is on the cards I think.
