i think that sounds about right,i cant see either being stopped farr had a good enough chin and defence to go the distance .adamek is hitable with right hands but farr was not a big puncher.so i think farr is clever enough to make this close but is outworked by adamek
At this stage we would have to regard Tommy as being by farr the more proven fighter at elite level. Unless I see more from Admek I would give him the benefit of the doubt.
Heavyweight version of Adamek wins more convincingly. When i first made this thread that was the 190-200 lb version of Adamek now he is weighing around the 220 range and in good shape so he obviously is carrying more power.
Farr beats the Adamek who showed up against Estrada. I can't see how anyone would consider that an impressive performance. Tommy Farr beat Max Baer and arguably Jim Braddock as well. The fight against Louis was fairly close. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8C5sQHpFc_8[/ame] http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=8040 http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=7326
I agree. And here's a heavyweight punching power chart to prove it. #1 Tomasz Adamek #100 Joe Louis #101 Max Baer #102 Earnie Shavers #103 George Foreman Places 2-99 were forfeited to provide a realistic gap between Adamek's punching power and that of the following heavyweights.
