I knew that but I thought it was something more serious, particularly when people were saying nonce etc. I thought I’d missed something. Not that much sympathy for crack whores myself.

This girl was only 17 and he gave her a choice, either he anally rapes her or he stabs her up the arse (which would likely kill her). Then there's the bit about him putting boxing gloves on the girls and making them fight each other his own amusement, along with the constant rapes and beatings the girls were subjected to. So this isn't just someone who made mistakes and turned to crime out of circumstance, this is a genuine animal with all the hallmarks of a psychopath. And this is just the stuff we know about so god knows what else he has done. I remember reading some stuff a while back from people who knew him back then saying that some of the girls he did this to were kids as young as 12. Which given what we already know he's capable of wouldn't surprise me one bit. He's just lucky to live in a soft liberal country where he got a slap on the wrist and to have boxing to fall back on once released.
Not a fan of him as a person, but fingers crossed he makes it through and makes a full recovery. Everyone deserves redemption and boxing itself has suffered too many tragedies recently.
