Paul Smith did well to last the early rounds with Dodson when he was badly cut

rocky balboa against james clubber lang.

after suffering a battering at the hands of The Clubber, Rocky overcame mental issues to start fighting like a black man and put on a boxing clinic in the rematch

Not quite an example of a specific fight where a fighter came through adversity, but I've always been fascinated by the career of Gypsy Joe Harris. He fought his entire career blind in one eye. Beating Curtis Coakes amongst others.

    Amazing article on him....http://www.thesweetscience.com/boxing-article/2432/gypsy-joe-harris-career-life-interrupted/

Corales v castillo. Very clever to get himself back in that fight.

Domestically Paul Smith with his cuts against Tony Dodson

When Danny was in great shape he was something else; quality fighter and hard as nails.

Here's one; Matthew Franklin vs Marvin Johnson: Both pre-prime, Johnson with more amateur seasoning, is ahead on points, but the man who would be known as Saad Muhammad shows the heart that made him famous-Coming back in the 12th round to take Johnson out!!!!!

What a final round, what a comeback. Saad was being pummelled throughout.

I was tracking down his fight with Emile Griffith but was told not to bother; apparently he's shocking in it. Apparently he was majestic against Cokes, wouldn't mind seeing that.

    Tommy Morrison vs Joe Hipp.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=he4apxiwg8E[/ame]

Morrison had a broken jaw and a broken hand. Some suggest the other hand got fractured too. He still won.
