age range for boxer

    What is the age range for the start and the end of a career for a professional boxer?

    I dunno. Kind of a broad question with too many variables.

    Very, very few fighters stay top form into and beyond their early-mid-30's.

    Starting to box at 16 is considered damn near ancient. As you see with Rigo and Loma, extensive amateur careers make the transition to pro easier but even then, only for the truly great amateurs or those destined with the tools to become truly great professionals.
