How people on here all said before the wlad fight, that povetkin would not have a prayer with him,its to early, hes not ready etc etc, well what do you all think now?,im almost sure he would indeed have a decent chance, the guy comes to fight, would be very interesting at the very least, and he would at least have a go at wlad,

povetkin is exciting but wlad will be fighting another 'safety first' fight.

I cannot see how you could come to that assessment after watching last nights fight. Klitschko didn't fight under pressure or anything.

Long-time truism in boxing - you're only as good as your last fight!

"Professional" boxing that is. One of the many reasons I don't consider pro boxing a sport anymore. It is all entertainment. WAY to much focus on single fights. Only the most established fighters can dare to have an off night, but once the people love/hate you to celibrity level you can sell almost anything to them... (Oscar, Holyfield, Tyson...). Very much like in music and film industry. Realy sorry to say that, though.

He was not put under pressure though thats my point, pov would i believe pressure him at the very least, wlad has had it to easy recently, someone needs to really take a chance when fighting him,pov i would say would do just that(not saying he would win)

Id like to see it,wlad may then really open up himself,im not a hater of the man,i like him,but dont feel he is really getting the best out of himself, and yes he keeps winning and winning fairly easily, but these fights aint gonna be looked on to fondly by most,be nice to see him being forced into a war

no way. to me it's styles. povetkin will no doubt TRY to crack wlad, but doing it is another matter altogether.

if anything after this unification i think wladimir will beat povetkin pretty easy. he's way stronger. taller. longer reach. faster. equal stamina. ko power up til final bell. great feet. technically superior.

povetkin's only edge is he is willing to take flush shots to give a shot. problem is, that only works against guys like a shot byrd, lazy chambers and so on.

seriously, wladimir cannot be outboxed. fighters simply have to hope for a hail mary. anything less means getting outclassed and most times stopped.

    i agree...
Pov seems very green. and not that good. he was hit by everthing chambers threw.

but it would be interesting to see him or anyone take it to Wlad.

Pov has a great work rate. and that could give wlad problems if Pov survives the right hand.

on the other hand... if anyone does take it to wlad or try to box, Wlad will hold/hug. He will not allow someone to box. Thats why we see these little challengers throw haymakers from the outside.

I was a big supporter of Brock before the Wlad fight. but in that fight he did everything he said he would not do. Everyone stands in front of him and allows him to jab and hold. Brock talked a perfect game and didnt come thru.

Povetkin is one of my favourite fighter, but he really have to fight with Byrd?! and as a light puncher, byrd stunned him couple times...imagine what wlad can do.:deal Hope the fight will come...
