AJ 246lb Povetkin 221lb

Povetkin looks good but he is looking a bit soft..over 2 stone lighter then Joshua...do you think Povetkin is expecting it to go the distance or is he gonna go all out and try to get AJ out of there?

My cousin works at William Hill and he told me he is getting loads of bets for Povetkin to win!

 

He's a 39 yo heavyweight who has never been known for being ripped.

As for AJ I think although he's still in great shape he's not been as ripped as he normally was for the past few fights now.

Does anybody actually give povetkin more than a 10% chance?

 

I give Povetkin a great chance , he is old fair enough but his pedigree indicates he is tough and dangerous

Yes he's his toughest fight bar a 41yo inactive Klitschko and we all know how that nearly went.

3/4 years ago Povetkin ruins him, now at 39 and his performances tapering off I think it's 70/30 for the king of the casuals.

 

Yep! Parker had more than that IMO and he's better than Parker, even at 39. If AJ fights the right way it's an easy fight for him to win. If AJ does that gassing thing he does though, then there's no way Pov will hold back like Wlad did. He will go all out. My thinking is that AJ keeps it long for 5-6 rounds and then goes for the kill, which if Povetkin is working hard is roughly when he'll start to slow further. Povetkin hits the body well and goes downstairs to upstairs in good fashion, so he has danger to him.

 

HTF have you come to the conclusion that's hes dropped 15/20lbs of muscle?

 

Agreed, prime Pov is absolute Hell for AJ.

Tell you what I find weird. You know how Wilder beat Ortiz and it's "Wilder's best win is OLD MAN ORTIZ"? I don't see the same guys shouting OLD MAN POVETKIN or OLD MAN WLAD who was even ****ing older!

 

Im not sure. Povetkin in is drug fuelled peak got bullied and knocked down 6 times by Wlad. Granted it was a terrible fight but i wasnt impressed with Povetkin at all. His last 3 fights haven't been great neither we all know what the Price fight was about, but his 2 before that he didn't look as nimble or powerful imo.
