Anthony Joshua is absolutely finished at world level. He's done. He's 36, no stamina, no confidence, chinny, looking to cash out. And he's lined up to 'fight' Jake Paul. The idea that he's going 'to learn something' from a new trainer is amusing, because we've seen people fall for that nonsense before. It wasn't long ago people were swearing blind it's "AJ 2.0" or "AJ 2.1" about to conquer the world .... because of ...... linking up with Boxercise Ben Davison. He beat Otto Wallin up, and I read comments about how 'this version' would beat Usyk. That's funny. Then Dubois splattered him. Which was funny too. I'm sure, IF he employs this new trainer from now to the Jake Paul fight (I don't see the point), and the fight goes ahead and he wins in easy fashion, people will claim they saw 'improvements' in his game. As laughable as that is.
Wasn't there banter last week that Paul might be working with a mystery Brit trainer? I wondered whether this might be Davison. After all, $$ talks, and stranger loyalty-shifting alliances have happened. Mike Tyson helped train Ngannou for the Fury fight.... and Fury was named in honor of Tyson!
Tyson training ngannou was publicity. There is no publicity in this for casuals. Originally Joshua was going to have a warmup fight. This is now the warmup fight. So he didn't change coach for this fight but for his last run at heavyweight
