People keep saying they are putting obstacles up but whats it based on? Doubting the money is there in IFL interviews? Wow what a huge obstacle. Madness
Because certain people are always saying it’s this, it’s that. Warren for example hasn’t said one positive thing about a possible fight since talks started. Not one single positive sentence.
Who cares what Warren says. The business deal is the business deal. Warren's not even saying anything surprising, or insightful or interesting ... just stating something obvious, whether it's the true situation right now or not. Hearn says he can get XXX million from Mr.X and Co., in the country of X, gets the contracts drawn up ..... Fury is interested, XXX million is great offer ..... Fury pays his lawyer XXX thousands to look at contracts .... and they come back to Hearn and say, okay, we sign if that XXX million can be guaranteed through legitimate banks. Sounds fairly routine, doesn't it ?
Of course he does. Even Hearn said he knows both fighters want it on his podcast (and it’s in his interest to make the drawn out process reflect negatively on Tyson). The fighters aren’t ‘scared’ of eachother - its naive to think that’s a legitimate possibility. It’s just greed and ego that’s stopping it now. From fighters and promotions.
It's weird how people focus on Warren or Arum "being negative" when they've stated clearly the issues with the finances and how difficult the figures will be to achieve in the whole situation brought on in the world since the pandemic, from the start. They've voiced doubts on the huge figures, but have left the door open for Hearn to prove it can be done as he says. People would rather have Hearn being "positive" and blow smoke up their asses, tell them want they want to hear, even if he's being far more dishonest than all the other parties. I don't trust any of them. But one guy keeps telling us it's done, when it's not. Every week. One of these weeks I hope he's right.
It could've been done a month ago and all parties just agreed to enact this soap opera to build interest. The more exposure, the more this is debated, the bigger the perceived value in the consumers mind. Anyway Hearn signalled at the end of Canelo Saunders that there'd be news at the Manchester card. So hopefully there'll be a date and we can go onto the next act of the panto
We’ve been hearing this stuff for months. It’s embarrassing - they either get the fight fully signed off & officially announced or he should STFU & move on.
It'll happen. Fury is clearly getting ready for it. You just need to look at him to know he's getting ready. The rest is just to keep the story in the media.
