    I think Joshua could outbox/outskill Ngannou, but would also be able to hurt him - so given what we saw tonight - I actually think he matches up way better against him than Fury did (could not imagine myself having said this 24 hours ago - kudos to Ngannou I guess, but also still surprised by Fury tonight...)

    Joshua stops him. Maybe has some shaky moments though, but Ngannou wouldn't be stepping to Joshua like he was to Fury tonight, no chance.

    "I've not even spoken to AJ about the Ngannou fight but I'd advise him to take it"

    = Leaving some wiggle room to say "AJ saw fighting an 0-1 novice and MMA fighter as beneath him."

    It would be a mega payday for Joshua (who'd have the opportunity to one up Fury and boost his status considerably if he won) and Ngannou, more lucrative than the Fury-Ngannou fight due to the massive boost to Ngannou's reputation. The entire MMA community would tune in, as would the boxing community. Ngannou didn't take much damage against Fury and he'd have 2-3 months to recover. Ngannou's team must see Ruiz and Usyk x2 victim mentally shot Joshua as a very winnable fight.

    Surely no roadblocks then right?

    @Wig You called it.

    Update:

    "Ngannou’s agent Marquel Martin: “What kind of emerged as of late was Joshua. Now Joshua can be a potential suitor. Before the Tyson Fury stuff like ever came about, we were hoping that we got a chance to fight AJ"

    Team Ngannou say they the fight.

    Fury v Aj will always outsell Aj v Ngannou.... Your fanboying of Ngannou as a HW monster is getting pathetic.

    The AJ - Ngannou fight is real interesting. AJ is fundamentally the far better boxer (obviously), however, Ngannou is clearly a huge puncher and AJ clearly doesn't like to be hit (not that he has a bad chin - he ate huge right hand from Klitschko, and took Whyte's vicious catch left hook). AJ should knock him out in under 4 rounds I'd say. However, best not to underestimate Ngannou as he is known for being a striker in the UFC...and striking is based on reflexes, countering, timing etc. so this is very transferrable to boxing. Think of it this way, you need some of those attributes to be successful in boxing. Coupled with that power and his fairly unknown boxing style, if Ngannou happens to land big, AJ will definitely go down.

    Ngannou is strong, so there'll be no clinching he also has an inch reach on AJ.

    "AJ should knock him out in under 4 rounds I'd say."

    They're going to duck the fight bro. If they believed in the "3-4 rounds" stuff they'd make it in a heartbeat. Even Bobby Helenius went 7 and busted AJ up, who Wilder KO'd in 1 10 months prior. Part time factory worker Franklin went 12 easy, despite not stopping Pavel Sour. Joshua hasn't stopped anyone inside 6 since Molina in 2016, 11 fights back. He'd try to Ruiz 2 Ngannou, best case scenario he wins a decision.
