I remember that fight, but most of all I remember him saying "No black man is going to take my belt" (or something very similar) before fighting Hagler. I was a big fan of Alan Minter when I was a kid, but what happened before and after the Hagler fight was not good for boxing.
heres me with him im on the right in red i like his style in the way he fights Antuofermo but he loses it against Hagler and brawls. He had a very cultured right hand that he used as a great jab especially in the opener agaisnt Vito. come to think of it no i dont. He was a great guy so it definitly wasnt Scholes. Also Scholes wouldnt have been as good
