Albert Sosnowski vs Vitali

Easy fight for Vitali.

 

Vitali is old and didn't look good against Kevin Johnson, but still won clearly.

Sosnowski is another third-rate challenger, in the same class as Alfredo Evangelista or Scott Frank or someone like that. It would be a HUGE UPSET if he wins, and a massive surprise if he can even put up a competitive fight.

 

Anything can happen when a man trains exceptionally hard and shows up ready to fight... But, I just think that from a skills standpoint, Sosnowski is really outmatched.. Klit has too much of a reach, and sosnowski has neither the boxing ability to outclass him, nor the power to do any real damage....

I don't like calling fights a mismatch before they happen, as I have put my foot in my mouth before, but I really don't see a workable plan of attack for Albert. At the very best, I give him credit for taking the fight seriously and showing up in shape - something that not too many of Vitali's opponents have been doing lately.

 

If anything this fight will show just how much Vitali is on the slide, personally I still think he's in great shape and will win via mid-late ko (could be earlier) or a complete shut out.

 

Sosonowski is really up for it, he will be in great shape and will actually put up a fight. If he wins? Hell, no, Vitali must really get old overnight for Sosonowksi to have a chance. I don´t think this will happen.

 

Vitali is old and has slowed, but he always is dedicated to training hard, so I see no threat from this grade C opponent in Sosnowski, who should cause him barely any trouble while Vitali dominates him throughout.
I think Vitali will stop him in round 6 or a bit later.

 

Bit of a odd fight this for me, haven't seen too much of Sosnowski and from what I've seen I'm not overly impressed. If he's in good shape and up for it like everyones saying then I think he'll do alright, can't see him winning but who knows. Bit of a risky fight for Vitali as there's not really much in it for him.

 

Like many Polish people here in Holland, Sosnowski isn't that well educated (skilled), but he's a damn hard worker who will do anything to win the title. I think his lack of defensive skills is going to result in a mid-round stoppage after shipping too much punishment, but not before making an aging Klitschko back up for quite a while and perhaps landing some of his own leather.

 

Klitschko should win very easily.

The only doubt on the table is the age issue. A man Klitschko's age might get old fast, but I don't see it against Sosnowski.

After coming back at age 37 with no warm up fights, Vitali has reclaimed his belt and beaten 4 ring magazine ranked opponents in a row, losing perhaps 1 round during the entire process in Peter, Gomez, Arreloa, and Johnson. An amazing feat for a 37 to 38 year old fighter.

I was hoping Valuev or Haye would man up and meet Vitali in the ring, but both said no thanks to makable fights.

Fighters are avoiding both Klitschko's. Blame the WBA, for not putting Chagaev's title on the line when he meet Wlad. If the Klitschko's had all four belts, fighters would not be avoiding the Klitschkos. They would be forced to take the pay day.

Sonsonski is perhaps the weakest title opponent for Vitali in his career. However, I do think he will give the crowd its monies worth while it lasts.

I think Vitali wins inside of 8 rounds, and unless he's slowed some since his least effort, he'll pitch a shut out until the TKO/KO happens.

 

It's so bad that all I can think about, regarding this very mismatched (for all assumptions) fight is how amazing it will be to have two perfectly fit heavyweights in the ring who look like actual athletes. It's like a dream come true. They're both serious enough not to be 15+ pounds overweight! Whoopee!!!

 

The WBA title is a mess, but Haye is the champion. I blame Haye for teasing the fans. He said he would take the fight. The interest level is high. Instead he backed out of fighting Vitali, and opted for a shop worn Ruiz.

Valuev opted to pass on meeting Vitali even though he doesn't have a title. It seems like Povetkin has been delaying meeting Wlad for as long as possible.
