lol well boxing skills arent something you appreciate that much are they? , other than the 2nd round murray got out boxed i might give round 4 and even, Mitchell`s jab was in Murrays face all night and it took its toll on murray. Mitchell avoided loads of Murrays punches with his Sweet pea body movement, its more like your trying to diplomatically wiggle your way out of getting a fight so wrong!
You are literally off your nut. Or trolling. I'd say 'boxing skills' aren't something you're able to gauge. Or you've seen so little boxing that your standards are incredibly low as to what constitutes 'good boxing'.
yes feather fisted glancing shots alot of which was to do with Mitchell`s upper body movement, Murray might of had mitchell on the ropes but even them Mitchells uppercuts were keys. im not fooled by glancing shots and feather fisted jabs that barely touch and a come forward aggression without substance. Mitchell had more substance to his fight thats why i see it so differently
I agree. But his 'on the ropes rolling' is not natural enough; he gets himself in too much trouble when he should be employing more lateral movement rather than absorbing shots and relying on his accuracy; he isn't skilled enough in that respect. I agree that Mitchell landed the cleaner, sharper shots; but it was down to superior handspeed and combination ability, not down to 'sweet pea body movement' or 'pure boxing ability'. Watch some Locche for ****s sake :deal
What, the one I'm winning? You're an idiot. Ok, we're going to take this slowly. If you really think Murray won only two rounds you are clearly exhibiting some serious bias. Mitchell was taking a beating, got hurt a few times and, until the sixth looked like he was wilting under the pressure. It was an even fight until that point. Mitchell was landing the better punches but Murray was landing more. Simple stats back that up. His Sweat Pea-esque body movement? Now I know you were watching a different fight. He constantly rolled INTO punches and allowed Murray to stay on the inside. He would step into punches too throughout the fight. ****, even when he finally put Murray down he was eating shots right before it. And what did I get so wrong, you moron? I stated quite clearly that Mitchell had a great chance if he could do damage to Murray early on. I didn't predict Murray would bulldoze him - if anything I was surprised Murray had so much success early on. I thought Kevin would be a lot sharper and take a comfortable lead before Murray would grind him down. Go **** yourself - I don't need to wriggle out of anything. I like Kevin and was glad to see him come back so well, I was there when Katsidis flattened him. The people who need to wriggle out are the ones who said Mitchell would outclass Murray. He didn't in any way shape or form. It was a hard, close fight - exactly as I said it would be. The only thing I didn't expect was Mitchell being able to hurt Murray, but hey, no one knew how hard he'd punch at LW.
Brook would win. Alexander has proven himself to be nothing special after a great introduction onto the scene against Urango. Kotelnik beat him with solid fundamentals, did nothing extraordinary just used a regular jab and right hand and tagged Alexander, and Alexander's barking and lack of substance in return was shown up. Brook has a good enough jab to completely offset Alexander and the power to push him back.
He rolled many a punch and got caught too fair enough and especially rd2 and later at some point but to me Murrays come forward take it on the chin and hope you catch your opponent style didnt do it for me and so many of murrays punches did miss due to Mitchell evading them. Lots of murrays punches were glancing, the punch stats were laughable, murray threw more but landed more? no way. Mitchell`s cleaner sharper and more precise punching backed by his jab and combos clearly put him ahead. Murrays got bottle and heart no doubt and is a great guy. When this fight was happening i can tell you now there were many on here who had Mitchell 2 or 3 pts up at the half way point but to be fair there were some who had it equal. Mitchell has got good movement body and foot just needs to sharpen it more and maybe pivot more and catch opponents after with combos and not pull back. As for mitchell letting murrays push him about thats alot more to do with Murrays style a hard style to avoid, there were many times in the fight i was saying "sidestep turn him and catch him" End of the day dude we see and appreciate things differently, cant all be the same otherwise this debating would be pointless, peace
