The first contest back after a defeat is always tough, plus Matthysse is a pretty good fighter. Probably outpointed Judah a couple of fights ago, knocked him down. All in all, a good display from Alexander. Looked beforehand to be a close fight, i'd award the decision to Devon Alexander. He showed good battling qualities and no one has argued the fight wasn't close. Boxing is littered with close decisions, split decisions etc. Not the worst verdict by a long shot.
