I think he does need to face some top 20 opponents before stepping up against the current top 10, and have no doubt that Universum will take their precautions with Alexeev for the next ~2 years (they always do).
Alexeev himself said in the post-fight interview that he'll compete for a world title in one of his next two fights. ZDF is building him up as one of their future main event boxers it appears (besides his amazing boxing skills he's quite good at German already)
"Competing for a world title" and fighting the top guys in the division are two different things in this day and age.

He looks good against bums. But it is a lot of work to become a good professional boxer. You need a good professional trainer, which he don´t have.
I guess he means the size of his bone structure, that sort of thing. It's like saying that Paul Williams should fight at HW just because he is pretty tall and has a good reach - or Amir Khan should bulk up and fight Mike Tyson because they are the same height!
I agree but Jones is pretty old so I doubt he will do that good much longer. Also, I expect Haye to come back to cw after his first loss at hw if he is still able to.
