How did everyone have the scoring up to the stoppage in the fifteenth ?

I've watched it quite a few times over the years and always have Ali ahead by about three points.

Never scored it but I've watched it and while it was a tough fight I thought Ali was in control and should have been comfortably ahead.

True. Very tough one physically but a clear victory for him.

Ali was ahead, but it was a very tough bout for him....up until Frazier, the toughest of his career.

That's right,Cobra. Far tougher physically than the Doug Jones bout.

Not very good from a technical standpoint but when you consider that Ali had only spent three rounds in the ring after three and a half years,it was a solid performance.

Indeed, he did. In more ways than one.

Maybe the only left hook Ali EVER hurt anyone with!
Easy boys, I still have him as the greatest HW ever (despite his second 'orchestrated' career.)

I believe Ali said it was the hardest hook he had ever thrown. Ironically, Oscar stunned Ali pretty badly with a hook of his own in the 9th round.

Rules obviously didn't apply to Ali. He refused to go to a neutral corner each time. Bonavena would have survived that round otherwise.
