I would agree with a large portion of this. I prefer to call him Ali, but don’t care for him either as well as some of his stances that seem to get lauded.

I think he is/was great but go Louis as well

He did have the benefit of having significant financial means and high-paid lawyers.
Also, the fact that he wouldn't have been at risk in the army and would have been used to entertain troops further illustrates his privleged position.
I'm not denying he took a brave stand but it gets overplayed a bit.

Any person who cannot show the decency of referring to Ali by his chosen name has no place on this forum.

    Take your agenda elsewhere.

    Louise
    Ali

Either or..Louis is my personal preference.
Either could beat one another at any given time IMO

It would be easy to argue a good case for either.

They both put a lot of blue water between themselves and the #3, whoever the hell that is!

Ali has wins over Liston, Patterson, Frazier and Foreman, it's a pretty insane number of fighters ranked so highly to have beaten.

Makes it hard for me not to pick him.

Won't really argue with anyone picking Louis though.

Said it before and I'll say it again. Louis is the better "champion" as far as reign goes... but Ali, and there isn't a doubt in my mind, was the better/greater fighter and would beat Louis had they ever fought. Oh, and no Louis wouldn't win the rematch either.

Mr Barrow was a drug addict ,tax evader, and serial womanizer .committing adultery countless times and hitting a married woman ,[Lena Horne,] he was having an affair with. so he can't be considered either !

So we have the following heavyweight champs.
    Noah Brusso,William Dempsey,James Tunney,Joseph Zukauskas,Joseph Barrow,Arnold Cream,Rocco Marchegiano,Charles Liston.

    What were they hiding behind?

ps Any of the champions that converted to Islam change back to western names later to garner more publicity, or have they all remained true to their adopted faith ? eg Eddie Mustapha Muhammad,Dwight Muhammad Qawi,Mathew Saad Muhammad.
Your agenda has no place here mate.

Ali for me. even the second raters like Jimmy Young & Lyle were pretty good.

Who did Louis have, Tony Galento? Jack Sharkey?

Yeah Islam IS NOT a religion of peace. Islamic terrorist are actually following the literal word of the quran which they believe to be the inerrant word of god. Take them and slay them wherever you find them is what the quran says to do.

Christianity and Judaism have just been tamed by centuries of secularism.
