What all REAL boxing fans agree on is that Muhammed Ali is/was over-rated. He was lucky to fight in an era when the Heavyweight scene was at its nadir. So, having re-watched Wlad's amazing commanding victory over Chagaev, I sat down to think about how a fight between the self proclaimed "greatest of all time" and Dr Steel hammer would pan out. I came to the conclusion that Wlad would simply jab the head off Ali and stop him towards the end of round 4.
Personally, I believe a lot of hardcore fans underrate the man due to his popularity with the general public -- underrating as a result of overrating. Quite perverse. As for Wlad stopping Ali...atsch
I must say Ali was lucky to only have Liston, Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Shavers, Foster, Patterson and Terrell in his era. He would've been in real trouble with Chagaev, Rahman, Tony "the Tiger" Thomson and Lamon Brewster!!!
