Ali and the people around around him.

I still never got those sources by the way. I apprecaite you sending me a private message, but your only advice was to:

Type Cassius Clay, 1963 Jet Magazine

    Many articles in Jet Magazine
    Ebony Magazine
    Negro Digest

Ive been looking Duce but I cant find those specific articles.

    I did find this
    http://books.google.com/books?id=Oc...&resnum=8&ved=0CDsQ6AEwBw#v=onepage&q&f=false

    :rofl:rofl:rofl It's like a modern day "e-harmony" description. hahaha

    Wow, that was incredible.

Never even heard a mention of this in my life.

Saving a mans life caught on videotape....

    Thank you PTP!

    edit:
Oh and if the cops had hypothetically gotten to that guy, they woulda smashed his face against the floor after getting him off the ledge lol.

Ali probably didn't fully understand what he got into with the U.S. government when he refused the draft, but stood his ground against going to fight a war to kill other people whether guilty or innocent, that he never met before. It took a lot of guts to stand up for his religious beliefs at the time, to be stripped of his title, lose a whole lot of endorsement money and his banishment from the sport. He's a hero in my mind for what he stood for, and any questions about his integrity were fully answered as a result of his decision.

I don't like the way he picked at his opponents with his pre-fight BS, but he's a guy who backed up what came out of his mouth. Even if it meant taking a beating for it, inside and outside the ring he was a champion. The man was a children's champion, always making time for the kids which alot of atheletes choose to ignore.
