was done by Hopkins. He should have been deducted a point early in the fight, but of course that ***** ass ref was worried about his career and didn't want to take a point and possibly decide the fight if it was close. I scored it 115-113 for Hopkins, but if he would have had a point taken for holding it would have been a different fight. Hopkins is a dirty ass fighter, but he is smart and knows how to steal rounds and get his victories.

It actually really really pissed me off. Not just the holding, but he was coming in head first too. He was told that if he continued to do so hed lose a point, but there was no deduction. A ref needs to exert his authority: If he says hes going to take a point, then he needs to actually be prepared to do so.

I don't know what else to say, except that the cagey old ******* is a veteran in every sense of the word, and will do whatever it takes and whatever he can get away with in order to win a fight. The holding was a bit excessive, but I don't think that any of the head clashes were a deliberate attempt by B-Hop to foul.

    couldn't agree more.

It's funny how there's so much outrage about Ricky Hatton's style of fighting... but now that B-Hop delivers one of the dirtiest championship fights in recent history there's ppl posting threads about him being the GOAT and whatnot :rofl :rofl

I think all of the holding was what finally wore Winky down the last four rounds of the fight

exactly. Having to wrestle with a much bigger guy than you is going to take its toll down the stretch, even for Winky who has always had very solid conditioning.

The ref was a joke, he just didn't do his job.
