All this Taylor Hatred---

With all the hatred on taylor as a champion nowadays what does his status go too if he beats Pavlik soundly, either by KO or Really by points? Simple question but It can be answered in many different ways. Curious the consensus out there.

 

You should know the ESB community by now, they will all have forgotten their hatred, put on J-taylor avatars and say how great he is
And claim they picked Taylor to beat Hopkins first time, second time and Pavlik, and everybody else for that matter!

 

...or claim Pavlik was nothing special, Miranda was an overrated bum, and Taylor is still crap.

 

I really expect this one to be the case.

Have you gone to any of Kellys workouts yet? I'm 7 hours away & they told me I'm welcome to come & watch. Can't do that, realistically. But I am making plans to get my butt down to AC for this one. Are you going & if so, how many people from Youngstown do you know that are going?

Yep, this is pretty much what will happen. Unless of course it is a close fight that Taylor wins by decision. Then the dreaded HBO conspiracy will be to blame.

Hell yeah Jetski--As of today there are 7 of us going. We are going to rent a van and drive it. Its only about 7-8 hours away. I CANT WAIT!!!!

 

I honestly think that no matter what Taylor does, there will be people who hate him for whatever reason. I mean they will just make up some excuse. I don't understand why he is so hated on this board and other boxing boards.

 

I'll get some pics up real soon. Kelly is raring to be the new middleweight champ!! There will be a huge contingent in the thousands from Y-Town. I have friends flying in from as far as California and Las Vegas. It will be a Hugely one sided Pavlik crowd!!

 

Well, I still say Taylor went 0-1-1 vs Hopkins....and I DO think he will box Pavlik's ears off.

But I agree with the original poster...I just dont understand why there is so much ire for a champion who actually acts like a champion. He is a great guy outside of the ring unlike some, and he actually fights very good - great fighters everytime out (Joppy, then Hop, then Hop, then Winky, then Ouma, then Spinks, now Pavlik...how many other "champions" have fought that kinda comp in a row? 1? Maybe 2?). He should be universally praised...but for some stupid reason he is not....

And please dont give me the gift decision bull****...they were ALL close fights with great fighters...SRL got gift decsions in close fights....Chavez got gift decisions in BLOWOUT LOSSES (Sweet Pea)...Vargas got gifts...Oscar got gifts...Mosely got gifts....I could go on all night....

I seriously just dont get it....:huh
