Give me your top 5 comebacks where a fighter retired for a while, then returned a few years later to win a belt.

Comes back at 33, wins the Middleweight Championship of the World three times beating Bobo Olson (twice); Gene Fullmer (plus a draw) and Carmen Basilio.

Good points. Sugar Ray did not fight in 1953 or 1954. He came back in 1955, but lost to Ralph Jones before beating an average champion in Olson to take the title.

While Sugar Ray did lose to Fuller and Basilio, he also beat them. I think Fuller and Basillio at there best were better than Olson. So Sugar Ray lost a few, but he also beat better competition than say Foreman did in his come back.
