I knew him pretty well, But I never saw any films of him.

I remember I was at the fights and they were honoring Allie and they just said a few words about him and hardly anyone knew about him. The someone told the promoter that I was in the house and they asked me to do the honors. The place went wild as I gave Allie his just do, and Allie was so happy. I even brought pictures of him that I gave to 100's of fans. After he was asked for more autographs then you could believe.

Mr Butt, I have no knowledge of films of classy Allie Stolz, but I saw him ringside several times. Sadly I saw him outsped, and outclassed by a pre accident Willie Pep in1943. I saw Allie stopped 3 more times by Tippy Larkin,[best pure boxer], Beau Jack, and Allie's last bout against Bob Montgomery. He was a tremendous talent, not too rugged, but only lost to the very top lightweights. His best fights were against Willy Joyce,W2
and when he trounced Sammy Angott, but was robbed of a victory...
