How do you this fight going if it was made? Brook number 1 with the WBO and Alvarez number 3 :huh Would be a great fight between two prospects
El Canelo eats Special K for breakfast. Alvarez has got much bigger fish to fry, though. A fight with Berto could be just around the corner and it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that he'll fight one of the other titlists at 147 either. HBO love him and he's drumming up a fanbase on big cards in the States already. I see no reason why Warren would feel the need to risk Brook in a title fight yet and I don't see what a fight with Brook does for Alvarez unless there is a title at stake. Brook will get his WBO tilt against someone else, IMHO. Frank's probably sealed the deal already.
I eat weetabix so ****ing what I want to know who wins. On a serious note yes I don't think it will happen, still think Brook has fought no one whatsoever he needs more tests, even though he has alot more talent if he gets a WBO title it will be similar to the Enzo reign to the top where he has fought nobody near world class.

I don't think he fancies another Mitchell scenario any time soon where he just shoves someone in at the deep end on the back of an undeserved ranking. 147 is **** hot and, as you say, we have no idea how Brook would cope with any of the top guns at the weight given his current record. That #1 ranking really is something else. If Brook picks up a strap then the fight could happen, but for the time being I don't think Warren would take the risk.

brook is proven against who exactly? There are several opponents on Alvarez's record who i'd pick to beat brook, i think baldomir from last night would have beaten brook, kell brook is a protected fighter and he hasnt beaten any1 of worth to suggest he could hang with a talent like alverez
I'm not sold completely on either guy. I'm not sold on Alvarez's chin, although maybe a blown-up lightweight stunned him because he was cold or because Cottonwas well-schooled and Alvarez was unprepared. I haven't seen the Baldomir fight yet, but he was impressive against Cuello. Baldomir must be put into perspective though, he hasn't been in fighting shape for a while, is past his best, which wasn't exactly brilliant in the first place. It's an obvious 'name on the resume' which isn't that impressive. I'm sure you will say 'look how young he is' well there have been impressive young phenoms before, I'm not certain YET that Alvarez is destined for anything other than an ABC strap. I'm really not sold on Berto though, probably winnable for Saul. If he's going to stay at JMW, Joel Julio would be a good choice of opponent IMO.
I was bit drunk by the time the Yank card started, but i'm certain Baldomir wobbled Alvarez's chin again before the KO. Hence the reason I asked above. Cotto rocked him as well. Alvarez stated after the fight that he intends to move down to welterweight.
Brook knocks him the **** out. Alvarez was almost stopped by a fat, non-punching lightweight not so long back. He won't be able to take Brook's power. Plus a ginger Mexican is against god and nature, and that will eventually catch up to him.
