i felt this fight was stopped too early cotto wasnt hurt at all and there was only 10 more seconds to go in the round, cotto was still moving his head and trying to defend himself. but what do you think?
I agreed with the stoppage. Cotto fought valiantly, but he was taking a lot of abuse that last round. Straight right after straight right from a big welterweight who can punch. Good stoppage. Good performance by Cotto though. Hopefully, he will land some tv fights in the future.
He was slipping a lot of punches, but receiving quite a bit as well. Weeks should have let the round finish. Impressive performance from El Canelo, me encanta.
A great experience for Canelo as he should not underestimate any opponent or look past anyone. To Jose Cotto's credit, man does he have a beard and what a valiente he is. Good to see Canelo, who is still a kid, was able to get himself back together after a scare from Cotto. I hope now he knows he will have to learn how to clinch or take a knee because if he had fought a true WW he could of gotten stopped. I really hope Canelo learns from this he's only 19, but this is the most unforgiving sport there is and I think he is smart enough to become better from it. I wouldn't mind seeing Jose Cotto fight again he's not a bad fighter himself.
cotto couldve continue on but it was an ok stoppage is not like he was gonna come back and win.. as a lightweight cotto can take a punch or canelo cant hit fur **** because he took all those punches and stayed on his feet :hat
