Can't believe you, of all people, have fallen for it. atsch I'm hoping its just a passing phase and the old Claypole we love and know will be back .... fingers crossed!
The guy said Murray was goign to be the real deal. Must have been based on past performance and potential he saw in those fights. Don't know what more he has done than Khan but to me SO FAR the opposition has been similar but to me Khan looks better in terms of his speed and movement.
Murray has better punch selection and is a better in fighter but will not beat Khan or match him achievement wise.
Was my sarcasm too subtle? Don't worry, I have not succumbed to the hype, and nor am I likely to anytime soon. It's a bit worrying though, the amount of people here who have changed their views for no obvious reason. Perhaps they had their accounts hacked....
I think its a bit early to write Murray off .... Anyway, its not often we see two genuine young prospects in together so credit to both Murray and Fewkes. :good
No - I was kidding you but thanks for reassuring me. Claypole, if a poster like you ever succumbs to the Khan hype I'm out of here .... :bolt I agree about your last point - there are some fickle pickles around!
I understand and respect people's right to change their opinion, and I would be quite happy to do it myself. However, the way Amir Khan is being progressed means it may be a very long time before I start buying into the hype.
Although I have some justifiable cynicism towards the hype surrounding him I haven't actually made up my mind about Khan yet. It will take sterner tests than the likes of Kristjansen to convince me about him though.
theres only 1 small difference u forgot to mention Mighty Murray looked **** for the full 10 rounds against a JOURNEYMAN who naturally fights at featherweright, khan only looked **** for 1 round in his 13th pro fight against a very decent opponent whos only loss came to a world champion in alex arthur. If Murray had been in with Some one like st claire or willie limond that night its fair to say he'd have been outboxed.
Khan hasnt improved much in terms of head movement. His only defense is "hands up" which isnt helping him in my view. His punch selection has improved but not by much. In the St. Clair most of his punches land right on St. Clairs gloves.
