 at the posts on here caliming him as the GOAT after beating ATG Okami

Andesron couold be the GOAT - but hes spending his time in a **** weak division fighting guys no one gives a chance to

Fedor fought bigger guys, and guys when it was unsure who the winner would be

The annoying thing is, Anderson could have fought these bigger guys, beat them, and go down as the best

    But he didnt

So Anderson can't be the greatest because he fights in a division with a weight limit, whereas Fedor must be greater because he fought at heavyweight. I think your argument is reductive to the point of downright ****.

I am undecided on who I think is greater. Maybe in a few days I'll go back to thinking Fedor, but just now I'm pondering the issue. Anderson's last 3 fights really have been evidence of a true master at work.

It's not so much that he beat Okami but how he dominated him. Who else do you know knocks people down with a single jab and stretches them out with a single front kick?? Fedor fought bigger guys like whom? Zulu and Choi? If those are the kind of guys you're referring to then it's laughable. In my book Fedor is the second or third greatest of all time and that's actually being nice when you consider the fact that Sean Sherk has a similar record and has fought just as tough competition. Fedor is amazing but it's utterly ridiculous how so many people overrate him. Needless to say there are obnoxious Silva fan boys as well but the fact of the matter is Silva is a smarter and more versatile fighter than Fedor.

Anderson beating a guy everyone knew he would tool shouldnt change your perspective

The guy is a genius. I wish they would match him against guys who have a genuine shot at beating him - and theres only two - Bones and Shotgun

I still pick Anderson over both

    Sean Sherk>Fedor

I don't know about this "Anderson the GOAT" stuff, but there's certainly a case for it.

    Exactly.

  13. He loses to an elite wrestler with good sub defense 10/10 times. Least evolved, weakest division in the sport.

Obviously the fact that he beat Okami in and of itself is no big deal, but it's just another impressive and dominant notch on a bedpost stretching back to 2004 if you discount the DQ to Okami, which I do.

I'm not interested in Anderson vs Bones myself. I would be interested in a fight with Shogun though, as well as seeing him face GSP and have rematches with Henderson (at 205), Sonnen and Belfort.
