    Anderson would knock smith out! Its a 160 fighter (smith) vs a BIG 168 (anderson)

    Its a shame cos in the contendor smith shown some boxing ability, hes now in a division where hes not bigger than any of the domestic fighters nevermind european or world level..... he needs to get a trainer that can work on the sweet science get him down to 160 and he could do something..... but at 168, never ever ever going to work out for him!!

    If I'm being honest, I think smigga would be more effective as a middleweight. He seemed to be strong there and able to put guys in trouble quickly and keep the pressure on. Maybe he just can't make middleweight any more. What I would say about smigga is that he seems to have carried up all of his punch resistance and solidness, but not all of his power. Smith has only stopped one guy since he moved up to smw. This is the one thing that concerns me.
    If smigga can learn to stick to a gameplan and not try and go for a knockout midway through a fight he can progress.
    Kenny is a relentless kind of fighter who has genuine power at the weight. However he has struggled with lesser fighter also, for example Nathan king.
    Naturally my instincts say smigga wins this, probably on points.
    My overall sentiments are though that if at all possible smigga to go to middleweight. He's a beast there.
    Hope Joe can do the business with smigga

    i though anderson had been in some really tough sparring with froch or something and then got the call on 2 weeks notice

    Not sure Smith could make middle anymore he does look a bit pasty in the abs region at SMW (I say that in comparative terms obviously!) but he is very muscles in the arms and shoulder he has a thickness. He also blows up a bit between fights so not sure middle is feasible anymore but i agree he might have been more effective there. I definitely think he would beat Murray there and him and Macklin/Barker would have been a good scrap win lose or draw.

    I think he was sparring and in training, but not seriously, for a fight later on. The Groves fight was offered at short notice after Toney dropped out.

    Not 100% on that, but he didn't seem to be at full fitness.
